Aperture ("we," "us," or "our") operates the getaperture.app platform and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform as an event organizer or event attendee.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: When you create an organizer account, we collect your name, email address, business name, and business details (venue name, address, website, Google Review URL).
  • Attendee information: When you purchase tickets or register for an event, we collect your name and email address.
  • Payment information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or other financial credentials on our servers. See Section 5 for details.
  • Support requests: If you contact us, we collect the information you provide in your message.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and event check-in activity.
  • Device and browser data: Standard web server logs may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URL.
  • Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide our services: Process ticket purchases, send confirmation emails, manage event check-ins, and deliver business insights to organizers.
  • Communicate with you: Send order confirmations, event reminders, post-event follow-ups (such as Google Review requests), and respond to support inquiries.
  • Improve the platform: Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, and develop new functionality.
  • Business insights: Generate analytics and metrics for event organizers based on their event data (ticket sales, attendance, revenue, repeat customer rates).

3. How We Share Your Information

  • With event organizers: When you purchase tickets or register for an event, the organizer receives your name, email, and attendance information so they can manage their event.
  • With Stripe: Payment and billing data is shared with Stripe for payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their use of that data.
  • With Resend: Email addresses are shared with our email delivery provider (Resend) solely for the purpose of sending transactional emails.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Attendee data is retained to support organizer analytics (repeat customer tracking, attendance history). You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below.

5. Payment Security

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Organizers connect their own Stripe accounts via Stripe Connect. Aperture never has access to attendee payment card details. Funds from ticket sales go directly to the organizer's Stripe account.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

7. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
